Unlocking Cataclysm's Dungeons

Unlike with Wrath of the Lich King, all dungeons in Cataclysm must first be found before they will be available through the dungeon finder. This naturally happens during your normal questing, but in some cases you need to go through most of the zone before you'll ever find the dungeon! There are also a few oddities, such as how Vortex Pinnacle is a level 81-85 dungeon yet you never get sent to Uldum until level 83.

Here is a list of the expansion's dungeons and their rated levels:

• Blackrock Caverns (80-83)
  
• Throne of the Tides (80-83)
  
• Vortex Pnnacle (81-85)
  
• The Stonecore (81-85)
  
• Halls of Origination (83-85)
  
• Lost City of the Tol'vir (84-85)
  
• Grim Batol (85)
  

Keep in mind that while your character's level is sufficient to enter a dungeon via its portal, the dungeon finder also looks at your average item level. If you don't have high enough level gear you will not be able to queue even though you meet the dungeon's minimum level listed above.
